Seasoned consultant and trainer who previously worked at Standard Chartered Bank, Pak Kuwait Investment Co., Alternate Research, and Citibank across investment banking, corporate banking, equities, and business development. Has taught at 8 universities including IBA-Karachi and SZABIST, reaching over 3,000 students across 165+ courses and 30 subjects. Alongside a PhD in Islamic Finance, he is pursuing Dars-e-Nizami from Wifaq ul Maddaris al Arabiya.
Started career as Trader/Dealer for Fixed Income at Pak Kuwait Investment Bank, then served as Assistant Treasury Manager at Unilever. Headed the Corporate Bonds/Sukuk trading desk at National Bank of Pakistan (AAA rated), originating hybrid securities launched for the first time in Pakistan. MSc Finance from University of Glasgow on a Chevening Scholarship from the British Government.
London-based head of SIATFC's international practice. 10+ years of investment banking, financial advisory, private equity, and business development experience covering Middle East, Europe, South Asia, and Africa. Sits on Advisory Boards and serves as CFO for multiple UK tech startups. Successfully raised multiple seed, Series A & B rounds for fintechs in UK and UAE, and closed M&A and PE transactions across UAE and Pakistan.
